About

Searching for beauty in death and decay.

I’m an artist. I create prose, visual art, and I’ve also dabbled in experimental music and short film. Insofar as there’s a through line connecting my various endeavours it’s this: I try to capture the unlikely beauty of decay and ruin.

Most of my creative output has been still life compositions. These draw considerably from the philosophy and iconography of 17th century Dutch paintings, but are updated with a more confrontational and horror-inspired aesthetic. My art has been exhibited in galleries and featured in coffee table books, magazines, and blogs of questionable repute. My clients include Paramount+, Weirdpunk Books, Grindhouse Press, and others.

My short fiction has been published by Three-Lobed Burning Eye, Nightmare Magazine, and elsewhere. My nonfiction has been published by Seize the Press, The Deadlands, Nightmare Magazine, The Canadian Medical Association Journal, and elsewhere.

You can learn more about my work at my blog, or by subscribing to my newsletter where I send out new images, stories, and essays on a regular schedule of “sometimes.”
