Holy Scum: All we Have is Never

I’m very excited to announce that I recently licensed some art for the upcoming Holy Scum LP, All We Have is Never, released by Rocket Recordings. For those unfamiliar, Holy Scum is a noise rock outfit involving members of Gnod, Dâlek, and Ghold/Shuck. The overall vibe is very atmospheric and propulsive, incorporating identifiable elements of hardcore, post-punk, and industrial. I’m certainly no music critic, but to my mind this feels like a great fit with the aesthetics and philosophy of my art. As band member Mike Mare describes the album: “The title is a nod to the fact that everything ends - good, bad, ugly, beautiful. That is not a bad thing - it is a rebirth every time. We can spend a lifetime 24/7 together having shared experiences but living separate realities.”

“I don’t think it is nihilistic,” he adds. “The despair turns into hope for sure.”
